delmar wilcox
Delmar was born in Table Rock and so we include him on this page, even though he had moved away before the war. He was the son of Elmer & Grace Wilcox.
According to his daughter-in-law Norma Wilcox (on a November 2017 Facebook post), this is Delmar with his son Ronald, taken in about 1943. Norma says that "Delmar paid the ultimate price in February of 1944 over the English Channel. He was 24." Here he is with his son Ronald Raymond Wilcox, born in Colorado on December 22,1937. Ronald remembers little about his father -- he was only about 6 when his father was killed. He can say, though, that Delmar "is remembered as a happy carefree guy."
Delmar was born in Table Rock on May 9, 1919. His son Ronald Raymond Wilcox was born in Colorado on Dec. 22 1937 . The picture was taken about mid 1943; Ron turned 6 in December of that year. Ron would have been 6 in Dec 1943. He remembers very little about his Dad. Delmar paid the ultimate price in Feb of 1944 over the English Channel. He is remembered as a happy carefree guy. He was 24 yrs old.
