the flint hills outlaw gang |
co-sponsors: the drug store coffee club & the ROUND UP Bar & grill |
This jayhawking gang comes up from Kansas. SOME of the gang members are pictured. SOME of the gang will attend, but we don't know who yet. They say they will do whatever we ask, cowboy wise. They will mingle with the crowds, rob any place or anyone, arrest anyone, do skits, and walk in our parade. They are cowboy re-enactors who are out for a good time, and we will have a good time with them. We will probably set up the Elk Creek Jail and let them throw people in a REAL hoosegow. As a fundraiser for the fair, you can make a donation to have them throw somebody in jail, and that person can stay there a set time or bail himself (or herself) out. We probably would ask them to enforce the Table Rock Ordinances of 1911, which pretty everyone one violates on a regular basis!
We'll need a judge.... |
THE HOMESTEAD HARMONIZERS |
sPONSORED BY THE
|
This popular group based out of Beatrice, Nebraska plans to send a selection of eight to twelve singers to perform some barbershop music on the streets of Table Rock!
Here's some information about the group: The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. issued a charter to operate a barbershop chorus in Beatrice, Nebraska on December 12, 1988. The chorus was to become known as The Homestead Harmonizers. The members of the Homestead Harmonizers range in age as young as the early teens to 80 plus years, including men from 23 different communities in southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas. They use a vintage style of close 4-part harmony to entertain their audiences by singing a wide variety of songs including contemporary jazzy ensembles, Broadway show tunes, old time gospel numbers, patriotic tunes, and of course, classic barbershop! It is a sound that is seldom heard in today's contemporary music. |

radiant elf, flow artist
SPONSORED BY THE PAWNEE COUNTY PROMOTIONAL NETWORK (PCPN)What is a flow artist? A flow artist is a master of dance, choreography, and the manipulation of objects -- whether they be balloons, hula hoops, flaming poi sticks, a flaming trident..... What specifically do Radiant Elf & Mowgli do? You'll find out!
Sadly, kind of, they are masters in the fire arts, but our after-dark performances were already set before we discovered them. But there will be plenty to see! |
