where the heck is that studio?
We have found four pictures with the same studio background. Out of all our pictures, we have found only this single background repeated. Curious! some photos have the photographer's name imprinted, but these do not.
When were they taken? The date 1888 is given for a photo of Della and Mylum Purcell. The photo of the Horton family was reported by them as taken in 1890. Peter Gold was born in 1840, and based on his apparent age in the photo below, it was probably taken not later than 1888. Owen Crisler, in the second photo, was born in 1830. in the photo of the George Lane family, the date was probably around 1890 based on the ages of the children.
