.PCPN will have viewing sites, which will include the Pawnee County fairgrounds, the Pawnee City ball field (limited to reserved bus tours), and, in Table Rock, a site on the Hildebrand farm south of town. There is a fee for access. Tickets must be bought through PCPN. You can do this online. They are $20.
The fairground site in Pawnee City will have entertainment -- music, food, so on. The view is excellent.
The Table Rock sites will not have entertainment, but they will have a great view, especially from the Hildebrand farm (Viewing Site A), which has a full view of the valley. On a clear night, one can see the lights of Tecumseh, 20 miles distant.
The Hildebrand site is on a slope that rolls gently downhill toward with a wide view of the west.
The GPS coordinates: Latitude 40° 9'17.50"N, Longitude 96° 5'14.91"W.
A light lunch will be available.
They will also have room for primitive camping, and discussions may be had directly with them (not through PCPN). Private tours of this beautiful farming community and area are also available through the Table Rock Historical Society, phone 402/839-3003.
An added bonus is that most of the Hildebrands neighbors are Amish.
All of the PCPN sites will have porta potties.
