As the 1989 history explains, the church was originally organized as the Church of Christ. However, over the years this was forgotten and it became known simply as the Christian Church. In later years, the members discovered that the original name had been Church of Christ and voted to retain that name. Some still remember it as "the Christian Church." In any event, it is not affiliated with any other church.

Steve's parents James and Esther Staley of Dubois started attending the Table Rock Christian Church in the late 1950's. Shortly after they became members of the church. James became an elder of the church until he went to the nursing home. These were some of their photos.
