the storbeck family
Evert (1895-1987) and Zelma Leach Storbeck (1910-2002). They got married on July 6, 1932.
They had a son Edwin Dale. He graduated from Table Rock in 1957. They had two other other children. A tombstone next to theirs reads "Babies of Mr. and Mrs. E. Storbeck." According to Evert's Findagrave.com memorial, there were two babies who passed away at birth. We don't know about the other baby, but one was born in 1936, a little baby son who passed away later the same day. The the three tombstones are together in the Table Rock Cemetery. Zelma was the daughter of Range & Lena (Kesler) Leach. Zelma did quilting for others. Sharla Sitzman remembers that Mrs. Storbeck's quilting was exquisite. She did not quilt in straight lines as a few did but rather very decorative, filling in open areas with free hand designs. For this, in the 1970s, she charged the meager sum of $75. |

ed walked her home from school one day
Linda Moran's grandmother Martha Ribble lived across the street and one house east from the Storbeck's. Linda remembers of Ed, (not clear whether it was the Storbeck's son or grandson):
I remember Ed walking me home from school when I got hit in the face with a swing and blackened both my eyes!
