buildings - the marble "block"
A "block" refers not to a city block but rather to a building that has multiple subparts. For example, the hotel block has the hotel, theater, and a retail space. The Marble block has simply the storefront in which the Laun dental office is located and the storefront that used to be the upper bar.

The Marble Hotel occupied the space that once housed the upper bar. The other side of the building now houses Billy Bob Laun's dental office.
