Yes, it was concrete. Here it is in July 2017. To get there from Table Rock, go east on Highway 4, then turn north at the four mile corner, onto Highway 105. Turn right on the fourth road and the school is a mile or so east of the 105.

This school has been repurposed as the club house for the Lakeview Golf Course at Kirkman's Cove. It is barely recognizable, as the windows have been covered and porches/decks added. Only the original rectangular frame building seems to remain.

This school is located on Highway 73 one mile north of Falls City. It has been re-purposed for business offices. It was in use until 1979. The district was organized in 1869. This building was constructed in the early 1900s.

This list includes all school districts, which included those in towns, such as Falls City, Dawson, Humboldt, and so on, as well as those in the countryside. Most of the country school districts had one-room buildings that have been lost to us since consolidations eliminated their function.
There is no formal inventory of country schools in Richardson County that are still standing. Sandy Stalder, president of the Quad County Historical Society, got with her husband to review old maps showing the location of school buildings and compare the locations with today's plat maps. The result follow s below. The next step is to meld this on to a highway map, but for now this is the best available resource.
