Alice Covault taught grade school for many years. Some children loved her, others feared her, but in any event, she was a person worth knowing.
As a start, here is a little article about her that appeared in the Historical Society newsletter, occasioned by running across a letter she had written while a student at a country school and which had been compiled in a little history of her school written in 1917.
